Join us to kick off the 2026-2027 school year with Mountain Laurel Shakespeare Ensemble's inaugural production of Apogee. This devised production, created in collaboration by company members of MLSE under the direction of Doreen Bechtol and Molly Seremet, serves as our maiden voyage into the theatrical universe of our season. Join us for liftoff, as we take to the stars to tell a beautiful story of connection, isolation, grief, and love.

Apogee will also be the Shakespeare & Performance program's debut production at our new home. Performances will take place on Monday, August 24th and Tuesday, August 25th at 7:30pm at the New Place, located at 19 S Market St, Staunton, VA, across the street from the American Shakespeare Center and Hotel 24 South in Downtown Staunton. Monday's show will be followed by a toast and reception to kick off the season.
